There are 3 groups of rock; igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic. Here you will see examples of each and find out how they are formed and can be changed into one another through the rock cycle. The Museum has a comprehensive collection of building stones from around the world. Here you can find out about the collection, it’s collector, John Watson, and building stones used around Cambridge.
